Advisory |
Kirchner and Company offers advisory services to boards, investors, and management of small and medium size companies. These advisory services are typically related to helping determine the best path forward for optimizing the value of the company. In contrast to a consultant, our deep operating experience means we not only develop strategic options to build value but we actually roll up our sleeves and assist the client to execute them. Our execution experience is a critical success factor. Management often is quick to recognize we have been in their shoes and appreciate the view from the trenches. The result is usually a much more candid exchange of information and an immediate chemistry. This typically makes the resulting plan more realistic and therefore more achievable. We provide a variety of advisory services tailored to the needs of each individual situation. Strategic PlanningStrategic planning is a process to determine the destination the stakeholders wish to take their company and the tactical plan to get there. We have developed a multi-step strategic planning process that results in realistic actionable plans. It usually encompasses the following:
Advising Investors and BoardsWe are engaged by investors or boards as a trusted, independent expert to act as their special advisor in a number of situations. For example, we regularly are asked to evaluate investor options in a proposed transaction or financing; to advise on situations and circumstances concerning portfolio companies; or to show the way through a complex restructuring or recapitalization effort. Helping the board navigate through a minefield of risks, including conflicting fiduciary duties and roles, and to identify the best options for the company (rather than individual stakeholders) is a growing area of our business, particularly in light of increasing scrutiny in the corporate world. As circumstances evolve our advisory clients can seamlessly access the specialty expertise available within Kirchner Private Capital Group. |
